"I wouldn't bother"

I went here for an assessment, the "Occupational Therapist" didn't understand me, my disorder or the NICE recommended treatments for my illness.

I have been fobbed off with temporary, irrelevant, unnecessary therapies, rather than being able to access the right help and support I need to make a recovery from my illness.

I will be making a formal complaint and taking this higher.

Dear Writer

I was very sorry to read that you have felt our service at the Acre as so unhelpful.

The assessment did not meet your expectations of what you hoped would be provided, but without knowing the detail it is really hard to comment on how this came about.

I would like to invite you to get back in touch with the Acre directly, irrespective of whether you choose to raise a formal complaint, so that you can talk this through with someone and help us to understand why there appears to have been such a mismatch in terms of expectations of what would be provided.

I have forwarded your feedback to other colleagues so that they are aware of what has been fed back to us.

Yours sincerely

Dr Brian Solts

Divisional Clinical Director – Coastal West Sussex Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
