[Third time I have written this as the text box keeps deleting my text]
I arrived early at the mobile unit for a combined gastroscopy/colonscopy test. I expected to have to wat but instead I was welcomed and informed the team was ready to start immediately. The nurses and consultant explained everything and helped me get ready. As a result I was not at all nervous. The procedure was not as uncomfortabe as expected and was completed in a relatively short time. I received sufficient sedation for the tests but which meant I was mentally alert when wheeled into the rest area. The consultant discussed the results and left me with a written report. After tea and buscuits I left, maybe less than 90mins after I first arrived. If you need these tests I can certainly recommend the Oxford JR team (and I suspect the mobile unit is quicker than the main unit). The most unpleasant part was the bowel preparation the previous day. But even that was helped by reading an article written by the Oxford team on the benefits of combining Senna and Citramag (retrieved from PubMed by a google search). Thank you!
