To start off I should explain quickly, I have DID (dissociative identity disorder) and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), and due to this I have been a self-harmer for many many years.

Last year I had to go to hospital due to some injuries. Firstly they refused to see me due to them being self-inflicted and then I had a doctor have a very long rant at me about how I was "as bad as people who prank call ambulances", how I was "wasting time" and there were others with "real illnesses and injuries who need seeing".

They then went on to stitch me up, and when I said it hurt came back with: "Well surely that was the point?"
