About: Medway Maritime Hospital

Very frustrating waiting 9 months from doctors referral for hernia repair, having to push every step of the way even after having pre op assessment 4months ago just told on the waiting list, enough was enough so decided to borrow some money and go private, paid and saw consultant who agreed to do operation using the NHS ultra sound results as they also worked at Medway hospital, confirmation came and by coincidence in the same post a date for the operation at Medway hospital, which I decided to take.

Now the good bit, shame the hospital has bad reviews, from reception to discharge the staff were pleasant kind and caring nothing was to much trouble I would give them 11/10 I was really worried about being sick they took this on board and kept checking I was ok, I was on the pre op unit from 7am to 5 pm just a day case, so very well done to the department

At home now recovering and a saving of £2500
