After being called in for an emergency surgery at 10am i ended up waiting until 6:30pm with every 2-3 hours being told 'oh your next Mr Rashid, wont be long now' only to then be told 'sorry Mr Rashid we cannot now perform surgery today (yes that same emergency surgery) i was furious as whilst waiting other people seemed like they were coming after me and all being seen before me !
After stating i will be opening an investigation into this matter i recieved phone call early the following morning with the usual 'sorry etc lines' and asking me if i could come in to try again.
As my condition has a real affect on my day to day life and being told by my doctor it is an emergency (hence the need for surgery asap) i accepted hoping this time i shall be seen to. Well the surgery was done within 2 hours of me arriving and i was kept in for the night, it is now the following day and for the past 2 and half hours i have been pressing this stupid bell to request some painkillers and am still waiting ! Asked 2 different people very politely who 1st make eye contact with my beard and in a very 'cant be bothered tone' said someone will be with you shortly. Still waiting!!
As far as im concerned racism exists on a massive scale especially with all thats going on in the world, I shall most definitely be following up my investigation now with both the Racial Equality Council and Ofcom getting involved.
This is just unacceptable !!
