"nursing staff on ward C4"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

nursing staff on ward C4

What could be improved

I was kept waiting in a cubicle all afternoon and evening for a scan which never happened and then I had to stay overnight. I had to argue to be given one of my usual prescription drugs to prevent a seizure. My family were shouted at when they asked for my prescription drugs.

Anything else?

the portacabin room was dirty with blood stains on a chair and several cardboard containers with vomit in them left on the chairs. Some of the chairs had been vandalised, which gave a shabby look to the place. I had to wait a whole second day for my prescription from the hospital pharmacy. That method causes beds to be block and I suggest a waiting room for discharged patients whilst waiting for their prescriptions would free up beds for the patients who wait hours and hours in A&E triage cubicles.
