What I liked

Was the way all members of staff treated me with respect, courtesay and apeared generally concerned about my health and welfare. I felt my care was thorough and of of a high standard.

What could be improved

I was fortunate to only need to stay in as an inpatient for one night via A & E therefore it is difficult to say what could have been improved as i was generally very impressed by the overall experience of the hospital team

Anything else?

I have worked in the NHS as a qualified nurse for over 27 years, working in many different health care settings both in on hospitals wards and intensive care units and within the community, where i am presently employed as a senior clinician I presented to A & E as a concerned patient accompanied by a worried wife, the first time i have been a service user (i.e .patient). Everyone i came into contact with from portering and reception staff, radiographers, technicians doctors and nurses where extremly kind and helpful, this played a huge part in relieving our stress and anxiety , i cannot thank them enough. The Acute Medical ward was clean and tidy (well done to cleaning team) and

i felt all patients were treated with compassion and respect. I would have no hesitation in recommeding this hospital to friends and family.
