Out of Hours service

About: Douglas Street Community Health Clinic

(as the patient),

I contacted the service at 4am and by 6am I was back home with my first antibiotic within my system. It was also a more pleasant environment within the Douglas Street Centre rather than having to go to A & E where it can be hectic with very ill and stressed patients.

Well Done! ! It was right to move the service out of A & E!

Thank you very much for sharing your positive experience at the Out of Hours service based at Douglas Street Clinic, I'm was really happy to read your nice comments.

Providing this service from a community centre enables us to deliver our service within clinical rooms which are designed to deal with all Out of Hours referrals in a welcome and friendly environment. There is also parking on site situated to the rear of the building which allows for easy access for patients.
