"Fantastic Consultant and Caring Nurses"

I recently attended the Royal Preston Hospital for a second opinion after a truly horrendous colposcopy experience at another Lancashire hospital. This time at the RPH things could not have been more different. The Consultant Gynaecologist and nursing staff have restored my faith that good care and treatment is possible. From the outset the Consultant treated me with respect and dignity, listened to my views and feelings and did not put me down/ridicule me like the previous doctor had done. They sought to fully involve me in discussions relating to my care and treatment and put me totally at ease. When I arrived I was very apprehesive about undergoing another colposcopy in view of what had occured last time.

However I needn't have worried. Also the colposcopy nurses were really superb, they were very caring and gave me excellent support during the colposcopy and lletz. After my appointment I could not stop smiling as after a very stressful time regarding my health problem I had received fantastic care and felt really great. Once again I can't say thank you enough to this Consultant and the nurses on colposcopy.
