"Some staff are disrespectful"

About: Wathwood Hospital

(as a volunteer/advocate),

I think the standard of care here at Wathwood is ok.

Some staff are disrespectful to patient’s and are sometimes offensive.

I think the level of care sometimes gets lost and becomes risks and risks management.

Thank you for your posting and taking the time to feedback your experience of Wathwood hospital. We value all feedback and are keen to improve standards of care where appropriate.

I am sorry to hear that you feel some staff have been disrespectful and I would encourage you to speak further with a staff member about all the issues you have raised, maybe at the Matron's drop in clinics which occur on the wards? These clinics provide opportunities for patients to meet with Gina Ball, Matron, and a member of the advocacy team to discuss issues about individual care and the hospital. Please ask ward staff to book you onto the next clinic if you wish to do this.

Kind regards

Kirsty
