A lovely building inside - clean and bright but the location is awful. I worked in a shop round the corner from the clinic and when my work mates saw me going in they realised I had mental health problems and I ended up having to leave my job. I felt the location, and the fact that you cannot get into the building without ringing a bell and waiting for the door to open, in a way breached my confidentiality.
Plus, the fact that the building is locked makes matters worse. My work mates thought is was locked because it was dangerous to go into because of the mental people in it and also to stop dangerous people getting out.
Surely a more discreet entrance would be better and keep the door unlocked so people can get in quickly without being seen, especially if you work or live round there and are likely to see people you know.
One other problem I had was when I was very depressed just before Christmas I was given the number of a crisis servcie to phone and they never answered the phone. This line should be manned all the time.
Staff were lovely.
