"Pleasant Experience"

About: Nuffield Health, Plymouth Hospital

I have been unwell for over a year now and have been dealing with my local GP, after hearing that the waiting list for a consoltant would be very long, I decided to go private with Nuffield. The wait was very short and detailed and informative letters where sent about my apointment time and what was to be expected.

I am rather anxiouse and find the smallest things can trigger a lot of panic and stress for me. When I arived at Nuffield, the car park was very full and I imediatly started to panic. However there was a member of staff telling each driver what to do with their cars and where to park, this may seem small and silly to some people but to anxious people such as myself, this was a real life saver.

The receptionist was very nice and explained everything to me and told me what forms to fill in and what to expect next. After I was handed the form. The doctor I was seeing imediatly came out looking for me to come in. I was literally inside the building for less than a minute before I was seen.

The doctor could see that I was very upset that I had been in ill health for such a long time and also understood that not much was happening in regards to a diagnosis. I was reffered to two different procedures and I was also heavily informed as to what these procedures would be able to show and what they would do.

I did not once feel rushed or feel judged. I managed to connect with the doctor very fast and also managed to have a deep discussion about how I am feeling and what symptoms I have.

All the staff where polite and very respectful. I felt like all of my responsabilities and worries where being dealt with by the staff that work there. From the moment I entered the car park at Nuffield I felt at ease.

A very pleasant experiance. Thank you.
