I am writing to express my upmost gratitude to the dedicated staff on ward 3 E. In January I was admitted into this ward for a gynaecology procedure, I Was discharged 2 days later. I was unfortunately re admitted 5 days later due to post procedure complications.
On both occasions of admission I found the staff of the highest professionalism, kind, understanding and approachable. When I say the word staff I also include the nursing support staff, domestic, catering staff and of course my consultant Mr Udama.
I had previously attended the ward for 'gyne school'. This was a morning educational programme that prepares you for your operation, what to expect whilst on the ward and post op care. This school was fabulous! ! ! ! I felt so much calmer and yet empowered once I had attended gyne school. Education is the key to what I believe to improve patient post op care and give them the best chance of a healthy recovery.
The ward environment itself is very very busy yet the staff ensure that all patients needs are met. The staff were very well organised in patient care and their required duties. The domestic staff work tirelessly to ensure that the wards is clean and odour free.
I can not praise this ward enough. I would not have received better care anywhere else, not even in a private hospital. Thank you ward 3E for an excellent patient experience. People would be hard pushed to find a better ward to stay on, keep doing what your doing.
"Excellent patient experience"
