I was not looking forward to a bank holiday service over Christmas (27th) at A&E but the staff were brilliant and very efficient. I was not high priority, and was only there as it had been recommended by 111, but was very impressed with the service.
Everyone was very kind, and the triage nurse (possibly a trainee as they said they weren't qualified enough to do the full triage assessment on their own) was fantastic. They made sure that no one got forgotten about. They put an old lady in front of us in the queue for the triage because they were worried about her standing, and was very apologetic about it, but was obviously making the best decision.
The only downside was when I wanted water, there was none in either vending machine I found, and the coffee machine didn't offer any either. A very kind member of staff (after checking I hadn't been told not to drink) went and got some from a tap in the staff room!
