"First class in every way"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

Yesterday I had reason to be whisked to A+E with a dislocated shoulder from a silly slip in the icy hills, and from start to finish was very impressed by my treatment, and the style of delivery.

There was an atmosphere of calm throughout, and I was treated with great kindness and understanding, and very promptly. X-Ray's were performed painlessly, and the dreaded reduction of the dislocated was carried out beautifully under full sedation....thank you so much for that skill!

Staff were cheery, polite and informative. I admire their professionalism and think the population served by this department are very lucky to have it running so well.

Thanks to all the team, you can be proud of yourselves and in what you are doing.

Dear Mr Brennan,

I am so sorry that your hill walk resulted in an injury but thank you very much for taking the time to write to us with your positive review of our services.

I am very pleased to hear that you received such kind and compassionate care from the staff in both Accident & Emergency and Radiology.

I shall pass your kind comments to Matron so that she can share them with the team who will be delighted to know that you appreciated the care that they provide.

Best wishes,

Alison
