"Better than last time"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

I was welcomed to Osterley 1 like an old relative. Due to my symptoms, I was placed in a side room and had the best nights sleep. I still don't understand why they changed the times of blood pressure so we are woken up at 4am but I am grateful for the lovely healthcare assistant who gave me the choice of having it done at that time or be left to sleep. Of course, I chose the latter. My stay was better than last time so things are improving. The food is.. Food. Plentiful and nothing to complain about. I cannot fault the nurses and it was lovely to see them again. My only complaint sadly lies with the doctors/consultant. I was waiting around and asked if I had been discharged, there was a lot of uncertainty and then it was found that I was in fact free to go but I had to wait for my medication. I had waiting two hours where I decided that I would come back later and pick them up (I only lived down the road). I felt like I had waited longer than necessary and that I was taking up a side room for no reason. I left at 2pm and returned around 8pm and still had to wait for my medication. Upon going through it with the nurse to check that it was all there, I noticed two medications had been added, one that I had to take for life. Obviously the poor nurse had no idea about it and I was not even told about this by the doctor/consultants. I took my medicatio, not wanting to end up back in hospital and it caused abnormal liver. My doctor in university told me to come off it, only to be told by the consultant at west mid to go back on it at a lower dose (I have Crohn's disease) long story short... I am now back in hospital due to it and awaiting surgery.
