My husband was referred January 2009 for hip replacement. January 2010 find that my husband is somewhere in the system but still not down for surgery (nor on Feb list) BUT - he has been put priority!
I feel that if that is priority then Lord help the rest of us ...
He can manage maybe 200 yards a day, as in get to the toilet a few times a day in daylight hours and the odd 20 feet to the car. For a guy that has had 2 heart attacks the lack of movement is doing not doing wonders for his general health, so is the fact that he has cut his fluids so he doesn't have to struggle in agony to the bathroom.
