"Cancelled tonsil operation"

We waited on Outwood Ward for 3 hours only to be told operation was cancelled as they didn't have the full kit for the job! ! ! young daughter had had an anxious week leading up to today, work plans re-arranged. I think that it's unacceptable that this could have happened. Surely something as basic as this should have been checked prior to the day of the operation or prior to us travelling in. Despite this, all staff were fantastic and op is now rebooked for tomorrow  which is very good.
