"Your request for my views on my recent stay at Heartlands"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Accident and emergency West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I was feeling breathless, so my Son called the ambulance service, which, after checking me over said that it was a fifty fifty position on whether I should go to hospital. I was admitted, and examinations showed that I had a chest infection, for which I received anti-biotic treatment.

During my stay, I found that the staff, including clinicians, gave excellent service, and were thorough in their procedures. The meals were very good, and well prepared.

I would say to anyone, who has the misfortune to require hospital treatment, you are fortunate if you are admitted to Heartlands.

thank you so much for taking the time to provide your feedback about your patient experience at our Emergency Department in Heartlands Hospital.

I am so pleased to read that you were treated appropriately and found that all of the staff including clinicians gave an excellent service and were thorough in their care and treatment of you.

I will be delighted to forward your feedback to H Clemson Matron for the Emergency Department, as well as to Dr Erinfolami, Clinical Director for Emergency Services at the trust who will both be thrilled to communicate your feedback to all of the Emergency Department team who work very hard to provide a positive patient experience in often difficult circumstances and pressures.

I will also forward your comments to Mr Jones, Trust Catering Manager who will be grateful for your feedback that you found the meals were good and well prepared.
