"Bunion and 2nd toe correction surgery"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I would like to thank the entire team for the care I received when I attended Great Tey ward for my surgery last week. I was a little concerned about having the surgery with a local anaesthetic with sedation but the anaestatist put my mind at rest. During the surgery I was awake but felt no pain at all. I went home the same evening and although I had a little blip (I fainted at home knocked myself out and had to return to hospital in ambulance with a concussion black eye and split lip) which was nothing to do with the original surgery I am now recovering well. Everyone at the hospital was helpful friendly and supportive. I will need the same surgery in the future on my other foot but I will not be apprehensive due to my recent experience. Thank you all very much.
