"Great care for my dad's catheter"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Community Nursing Service

(as a carer),

My dad went into acute urinary retention. Complications with the catheter batch ( balloons kept deflating) meant he needed 3 catheters. Twice in A/E and once at home.

He's had minimal contact with the health services in his 85 years. Everyone has been so kind and respectful. It has been quite overwhelming.

The community nurses (Lanarkshire District Nursing Service) have been fantastic. Linda, Tracy, Lesley, Betty and Teresa. Thank you so much.

My mother is ill too and having this extra reassurance for my dad's needs is a godsend.
