"Crisis Team in MPH"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital (Taunton)

I feel the Crisis Team located in Musgrove Park Hospital next to useless. I speak for my friend whom was in a Crisis situation and feel they let the system down big time.

A quick recap..rang crisis team, left message as not there.

Waited at least 3.5 hours. No phone call returned after leaving name/number.

Called again to be told they finish at 9pm (it was 8:30pm) and would have to wait until morning or go to A&E and wait.

By now it was too late, my relative was feeling so ill she had gone for a walk. As worried called Police who were very helpful in everyway.

They found her and brought her back and spent time with us.

Did not hear from Crisis Teams at all. No follow-up/calls.

Just wait for the next Crisis to happen.

I think they let Musgrove Park Hospital down.

I am sorry you feel you did not receive an adequate response from the mental health services (Somerset Partnership) crisis team at Musgrove Park Hospital.

It is however very difficult to comment further on your experience without details of when this incident happened.

A member of staff would be more than happy to discuss this with you and would encourage you to contact either Laura Hopkins or the Taunton Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team Manager via 01823 368 398 or Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation House Trust,

PALS department on 01278 432 022.
