Having suffered with a nasty virus I was bed ridden for 2 days with a high fever, my own GP didn't have nay available appointments and they recommended I go to the QE. The service and care of the staff who dealt with me was spot on and couldn't be better. I was given antibiotics for a sinus infection and I am now out of bed and able type this without burning up. Despite having wait 3 hours it was worth effort.
Only criticism which is the comfort of the chairs in the waiting room in the Emergency care area. This was the one thing which nearly made me give up waiting. I realise that you are limited due hygiene and infection control, but suspect you may not get as many complaints if the seating was of a better comfort level. Not really a complaint about the care and the medical staff more an observation on the lack of thought from the designers and decision makers.
