"Youth Councilling Scotland"

About: NHS Lanarkshire

(as a service user),

I've been struggling with symptoms of Anxiety, Depression and a possible Eating Disorder for a number of years. I found myself being able to trust the counsellor and open up about how I was feeling. After a bad experience with another service it made me feel a lot better when everyone was so nice and understanding to how I was feeling

Dear loch20,

I am so glad to hear that you have had a good experience working with your counsellor. As you indicate, it is very important that you build a therapeutic bond with your health professional to get the most out of the relationship.

I will pass on your sentiments to the team and I hope that you continue to flourish in relation to your mental health.

Best wishes

Jim
