"Impossible to get an urgent scan"

About: Charing Cross Hospital

I have been in a laughable amount of back and forth between the GP and the imaging department in picking up the request for an urgent scan.

The GP has faxed over the form 3 times since September, and can see that it has been stamped to say received. Every time I call the hospital they say they haven't received it and don't offer much of an explanation.

I had to visit the GP again as the original request expired, and they wrote urgent on the fax and faxed it that night. The doctor explained CC had been having issues with the fax machine. Again - nothing got to CC and when I called they still don't offer any sort of explanation for why it might not be working.

The GP ended up emailing the request over as a last resort, and I've just called and they've not received the email.

So now I'm back calling the GP again - so much time has been wasted on this. My docs surgery (the bush doctors) have been really good and try to give explanations and other options. Whilst the hospital each time just say 'no' and then expect me to sort it myself.

No idea what I can do now, except for forget the scan completely but I really don't want to do that.
