"72 hours of my life"

I was rushed to A&E on Friday morning after collapsing at work and being treated on scene by paramedics and ambulance crew. I wasn't fully aware of what was going on in A&E but after some time it became apparent I had some problem with my heart, being transferred to The A&E ward for monitoring and observation it soon became apparent that I would need to have pacemaker fitted, whilst on the ward I suffered two episodes which resulted in my heart stopping on both occasions for a short period of time..

I was then transferred to ACU and in the early hours I had another episode and on coming round I was aware that I had been given CPR.

An operation to fit a temporary pacemaker on Sunday then on Monday I was fitted with a permanent one.

To say thank to all the staff from the paramedics, ambulance crew, A&E staff, ACU staff, theatre staff, doctors, surgeons, cleaners, porters does not seem enough.

All of you are truly talented, caring, professional people who have done so much in helping me through what was a very traumatic and distressing time.

Without all the care ,compassion and expertise shown in a very short period of time I doubt very much I would be able to write this review.

What will always remain with me is the way in which every single member of staff treated me, I was made to feel like I was a human being with a problem that needed solving and it was in done such a calm and reassuring manner I am so so grateful for everything that was done to me and for me.

What a wonderful group of people you all are quite remarkable.
