I have been a patient of these services since May 15 and I can't praise the staff highly enough.
Throughout this time, from doctors to nursing, support and admin staff have been on the ball without failing a single time. I have receive exceptional care and attention and I can't but be grateful for their support throughout a very tough period.
The professionals on this service are outstanding not only on the level of care but on their interpersonal skills, I have felt supported and in good hands at all times, and really being looked after by a team that has gone out of their way to ensure my good health.
Yes, there is waiting time, of course, but I'd rather take that knowing that I will receive good care and attention than not having the luxury of public healthcare. Also I want to mention my appreciation at the fact that the service was running evening clinics until quite a late hour to try and reduce the waiting list.
I want to express my gratitude and respect to the professionals on these services and encourage all patients to look at the bigger picture and appreciate how great it is that we have these professionals looking out for us with less and less resources available to them.
If you think having to wait an hour because of the delays is bad, think about having to wait 15 mins but trying to figure out where are you going to get the money you'll need to pay for private healthcare; this service is not cheap, meds are not cheap, diagnostic processes are not cheap... make up the numbers and tell me which is worse, wait or pay.
Go NHS!!!
