A patient has asked me to personally thank Sue for all her help, he feels she has made such a positive impact on his life. He could not thank Sue enough for recommending that he should apply for attendance allowance, he has made a claim and will receive £80 a week. He is not able to leave his home without assistance so is going to use the money to pay for Assist to help him go to the bank, go shopping and attend appointments. He has been socially isolated for some time, he feels this money will now enable him to attend church social activities and is keen to attend some of the activities Sue suggested now he is able to pay for taxis. He wanted to thank Sue for giving him a new lease of life and wanted her to know the money will help him improve his quality of life.
