Our teenage son and his friend were injured in a nasty assault/attack in Reading a few days ago.
The ambulance team were great - really lifted spirits by making a few wise-cracks as they checked the boys over.
They were thoughtful, thorough and meticulous (but goodness me, what a lot of paperwork they had to fill out!).
The paediatric A+E team were efficient and friendly - quickly found us a room and worked around the team of police officers taking statements and asking questions.
I want to say a special thank you to the lovely doctor that saw my son before we left.
It's hard to say bcse we were all in a state of shock).
They were very thorough and thoughtful in considering whether to discharge him, and we felt very confident in their decision.
Most importantly they had a wonderful calm, gentle and understanding manner with us all - and what they said to us about possible long term psychological impacts was handled very sensitively.
Exactly what all of us needed.
Thank you!
"Sensitive and thoughtful care"
