"The staff and care were absolutely first class"

I'm embarrassed that it has taken me 7 months to leave a review as my wife and I received wonderful care from everyone on the ward when our son was born on July 9th, 2015. My wife had to have an emergency intervention as our son's vital signs were dropping and in the overwhelming emotion of being caught up in the moment I forgot to thank all of the staff in the emergency theatre who were all absolutely amazing. To their credit, they were off in a flash to the next procedure in what was an extremely busy day, but I will never forget the professionalism and speed of decision making that meant both my wife and son were soon able to come home. I know these following comments might be made anonymous, but to whomever is reading this, I'd be in your debt if you could pass my heartfelt gratitude to two of the midwives in particular - the first, I'm ashamed to say I can't remember their name, was absolutely wonderful and had a bedside manner that was second-to-none. We spent many hours with them in the early stages of labour and this midwife was brilliant at relaying information and a pleasure to be around. Also, there was another midwife who was assigned to us in the recovery area. They were covering another midwife who had been called away elsewhere (the ward was exceptionally busy that day). This midwife was lovely and a first class midwife who really helped my wife with her first attempts at breastfeeding and worked tirelessly through their lunch break on what was a very hectic day. The words of this feedback really can't adequately capture how thankful I am for everything that happened on those few days, but eternally grateful is a good starting point. Please pass this review to the senior management team of the hospital as they really do need to know how wonderful the staff are - I'm sure they do already, but a reminder surely couldn't hurt
