My mother was a patient in this hospital after receiving sub standard care she acquired a bed sore which we were never informed of - this bedsore was level 4 and reported to us when she was transferred to another hospital - however she by then had 3 level 4 bed sores which ultimately led to her death from sepsis.
I have complained to the hospital however received one response that was unsatisfactory I have contacted them again to request further investigations into what went wrong and who ultimately has responsibility for my mothers death.
I have not received a response to this.
It is evident that the nursing practices have not improved from when the hospital was put into special measures and it should to straight back into special measures as a result of this appalling lack of care and now response to my letters to them.
But then again it shows consistency in poor standards generally.
I have put dont know which department because she was transferred between 3 of them !
I also know that you will take this review down as inappropriate.
"Bedsores received whilst in hospital - no..."
