Possibly the most unorganised hospital visits I have ever had.
Finally, our fertility problem was found so we thought great, we know the problem, we can work together to get things sorted out.
On our 'IVF chat' appointment we were told the doctor who referred us had retired and we were under no ones care. Why this couldn't have been communicated before I'd requested to leave early from work for a more or less pointless appointment which could have been given to someone else I don't know.
We saw the counsellor who was lovely and gave very good advice on the next steps.
Next appointment was just so all over the place, nurses in and out around 5-6 times. Although apologies were given I could sense our nurse was stressed and getting tired of being asked questions.
We met our consultant who was lovely and talked us through everything, made sure we knew everything etc.
I was told to ring 1st day of my cycle which was Jan 4th...no answers all day on the phone. I then discovered our consultant was on holiday :/ no one thought to tell us there would be a delay. Then everything was blamed on my neurologist who actually sent me proof he had responded to questions asked.
Very excited to call 1st Feb, I was booked in for a scan on the 2nd. Only to be called almost straight away to say things weren't ready; call again next week. The nurse was very kind and understanding but I just felt horrible, cried and wanted everything to just be done with.
It's now 'next week' and I was asked to give my contact information. This hospital I am sorry but their communication is awful. I have sent 4 emails, called so many times it takes an entire minute of ringing to get to the voice mail. I gave my contact information (mobile number) had my phone on my desk at work. Nothing. Get home 2 missed calls.
Whatever the outcome of the treatment I would have submitted a negative review. I certainly wouldn't have paid for the services I have had. It doesn't feel like a private hospital. The staff are nice but I like another reviewer found the reception to be rude.
