My visit to the ophthalmic OPD clinic in December filled me with dread over the upcoming surgery. My return showed a very different picture.
This time pre admission and day surgery patients were in separate rooms, giving everyone space to relax. Even my B/P remained low..
The rooms were clean and a domestic came in to pick up discarded rubbish (bins were provided but some pts didnt use them) Tea and sandwiches/biscuits were offered.
The office I was taken into was clean uncluttered and other staff did not interrupt.
Surgery went smoothly with no complications and even though one eye still to go my sight is already vastly improved and colours are vibrant.
I have no fears about surgery on my other eye in due course
