"Exceptional Medical Care"

I have had to use Southmead

A& E more times (between 2015/16) recently than I would like, as my husband has had several pre and post op problems. I cannot recommend or tell you enough what unbelieveable medical care, and emotional understanding they have given both him, myself and family.( Even down to a cup of tea and an arm round the shoulder for assurance) when time is of the essence in that department.

The speed in which they dealt with us from the receptionists through to the medical teams on duty has been exemplary. I would just like to thank them all for being so wonderful at there jobs and assisting my husband when he has been in such agony.

Next, the amazing Urology team in this hospital under the doctor, have gone above and beyond to give the very best medical attention they could possibly give to my husband.

Thanks to the doctor for all your support and taking the time with all the Q and A I have flung at you...)

They have saved his life by removing cancerous cells, they have re constructed parts of his body so he can function as near to normal as possible, and they have had to investigate and correct areas of his internal organs that weren't functioning properly.

What more could you ask for!

Too many people take to condemning the NHS,

Its not the magnificent men and women who work so hard to save and take care of us that are the problem, its the politics of the system that causes the issues. No work place that big with that classification of job is going to function without some issues!

Please be assured that overall this hospital will strive to take care of you and we all need to remember how hard the Surgeons, Doctors, Nurses, Porters and administrative staff work to put our lives back together. Thankyou is just not a big enough word, you are definitely my Heroes!!!
