"Looked after my baby well"

About: Grantham & District Hospital

We took our 11 month old to a& e with a high temperature after we were advised by 111 to get her seen within two hours and the out of hours had nothing for over two hours. We were too concerned to wait and on arrival the receptionist did not seem impressed 111 had said it was up to us if we wanted to take her straight to a & e. Although we understood a & e was busy we knew our daughter was unwell and generally felt we needed to get her straight to a dr. We were seen really quickly by a nurse and we were really happy with every member of staff that looked after her. Her temperature went extremely high and they were trying to get her over to qmc. The staff at Grantham got her temperature down and thankfully she came home with antibiotics after they had checked her for everything and made sure she was ok. 3 different drs over 7 hours looked at her and they all were brilliant. The nurses and support staff were also really kind and did everything they could to keep her comfortable. Despite being busy we felt very well looked after. Thank you.
