"Recent referral to Eye Clinic"

About: North Devon District Hospital

This was our first experience of North Devon hospital and we were dreading attending as an urgent referral after hearing about the consequences of current staff shortages /

NHS cuts - particularly on a Friday.

The eye department was very busy and I must complement all the medical staff for the professional, helpful and well organised way that they all worked together.

Although very busy and clearly working long hours they were polite and thorough in their investigations. It was reassuring to see that the junior doctors felt comfortable in referring to the consultants for advice and that the consultants were happy to engage in this process.

This was all repeated again on the Monday.

All follow up appointments were arranged as promised.

Thank you

Thank you so much for leaving this feedback. It is always really helpful for us to receive feedback from patients about how well our clinical and administration teams are working together to make sure you get the service and care you need.

Our staff are absolutely committed to providing safe and excellent care whatever day of the week so I hope this puts your mind at rest for the next time you or your family may have to visit NDDH.

Kind regards

Katherine
