"Haematology efficient and effective"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My husband was referred to the anti coagulation clinic to discuss coming off Warfarin and going onto one of the newer drugs. This was due to a DVT a few years ago. We were seen promptly and found receptionists and nurses extremely pleasant and efficient. My husband was seen by a doctor who is lovely, and explained what the new drugs do and didn't mind reexplaining some of the more complex issues which we couldn't grasp at first. We saw the doctor a second time for a checkup on how new drug was going. In the meantime we had a call from a nurse from the clinic to check how my husband was doing. Again, the nurse was thorough and very pleasant. Our GP has received 2 letters already outlining the treatment recommended. We have absolute confidence in the doctor. The building itself and area may be standard hospital- lacking- tlc but the treatment is first class and that's what matters
