"inefficient and uninterested"

About: University Hospitals Of Leicester NHS Trust

I have been involved with them for 2 years now, the initial consultation was full of optimism and promises that have never materialised, I then waited another 4 months to have a injection that didn't work after 6 weeks I called them about a follow up they arranged for what I thought was a consultation 4 weeks later only to see a nurse to ask if it had worked (id told them it hadn't when I called). I then waited 4 month for a nerve block only to be given facet joint injections (that I had had previously that didn't work for me), I was told after that I would feel like I had been stabbed as my muscles were in such spasm they had to ram the needle through (why they didn't give a muscle relaxant I don't know). I then waited 8 weeks for a call to ask if it worked, as it hadn't I asked to see the consultant again who said they would do said nerve block, I chased this 4 times and eventually waited 57 weeks between injections. This injection caused my foot to go numb by the following morning, I called and left a message (as you always get the answer phone) at 9am, I called again at 5pm and left another message, a admin assistant called me at 9 the next day and asked if I wished to speak to a nurse (I would say that was the minimum given the symptoms I had described) the nurse called back at 4pm. I have now waited 8 weeks for a call from the nurse to see if the injection worked (I told them it hadn't when I spoke to the in may) this will happen at 14.15pm tomorrow. The department just doesn't work, you have to wait months and months for treatment nobody knows your history, nobody has reviewed my medication for nearly 2 years and the follow up calls are used as a way of delaying treatment.
