I attended the hospital for knee surgery in december 2014. I can only comment in so much as the care i received throughout my stay via the ward and theatre was excellent. My consultant was as always professional and explained everything to me with regards to the operation both before and after the event. My only 'moan' is that I never got to see the consultant in follow up outpatients, the Dr i did see was very good but I had to explain a quite complicated history, something which my consultant was already very clear on. Working myself for the NHS I realise that clinics are doubled up like this. However I did over hear a member of reception staff saying that I could be seen by the other Dr and not my consultant as the other patient at the same time as me was a doctors son whom the receptionist new. My advice would be careful what you say out loud because you dont know who is listening!
"excellent care"
