"I was reffered by gp at the end of sept and..."

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I was reffered by gp at the end of sept and seen by ent clinic in the same week as surgery is needed....(gp referred me as urgent) I had pre op assessment 4 weeks later, supposing the op would be soon after....6 weeks on from pre op and not even had a date....what is the point of having a pre op so early on as anything could change in that time.....I appreciate there are people that may be more urgent to deal with :-) but don't see the point in having pre op if surgery isnt soon after x
