I was a NHS patient referred to an orthopaedic consultant who was convinced I had a minor injury, after reluctantly arranging a MRI which showed a serious injury, I was informed that due to my age, over 50 and as I did not ski or play tennis, I did not warrant an operation and was discharged.
I sought a second opinion at a different hospital and am now on the waiting list for the operation that I need.
"When is too old?"
