"Emergency Admission"

About: Royal Hampshire County Hospital

Within 6 hours or so, I had 3 diagnoses and 4 locations. I mistakenly set off an alarm in a toilet, as the buzzer system was not explained. Some food failed, but minor.

caught a cold from the cleaner.

The good news: only the above prevented a 5 star rating on KempWelch. I have never been treated so kindly or well, as I was by all the staff (sisters excepted). The boys and girls at the coal face brought me back to life, and I have never laughed so much in years. I spent 5 days in their company, being helped and spoken to with kindness, explanations, assistance and recovery. I have taken names where I could, and will contact them directly - each knows the little part they took in my recovery, and I could not be more impressed. If only my health were as healthy!

Thank you for your feedback on our emergency department (ED) and Kemp Welch ward. I am sorry that the visit to ED was not of the high standards we aim to provide. However, I am glad that the care and treatment you received during your stay on Kemp Welch was more satisfactory. I have shared your comments with the teams involved and I am sure the staff on Kemp Welch ward will be greatly encouraged by them.
