Arrived for an appointment for a wisdom tooth extraction after taking the afternoon off work and driving an hour to get there. On my arrival, the receptionist told me the appointment was cancelled and the letter to tell me this must have never arrived.
They were entirely disinterested in sorting this out, despite the fact I was almost in tears by this point, told me I could have an appointment on a Wednesday, despite me saying I couldn't take any more time off work now I'd had this afternoon which had been completely wasted.
When they relayed this information to whoever was on the other end of the phone, they rolled their eyes and kept saying 'I know, you know what some of them are like'. It was made out to be entirely my problem.
They then told me there was an open surgery at 5pm which I said I would quite happily wait for if someone would take my tooth out and then changed their mind and said actually it was all booked up.
Appointment was rescheduled for a fortnight's time on a Friday evening - I cannot deal with the pain of this tooth that much longer. I'm hoping I can find a dentist who will do it for me before then; I would much rather pay hundreds of pounds I don't have for a private dentist than ever come back here again.
"Absolutely appalling."
