Major surgery of any description can be the most daunting experience any of us can face but in my case most of my fears were laid to rest during my pre assessment stage,all my questions were answered honestly laying out the pros and cons of the proposed procedure required to repair my aorta.Having made my decision i was admitted and the operation was performed on day 1,then 2 days in intensive care and finally 3 days in general care.I cannot fault the wonderful care i received from all the teams involved during my stay and it lays testament to this that i was discharged after only 6 days to complete my recovery at home,many thanks from myself and family to Leeds General Infirmary from our point of view you are 5 star plus.
