"Gallbladder removal"

About: Kettering General Hospital

The NHS constitution states 18 weeks for surgery, I am still waiting after 5 months! I've contacted the waiting list dept who gave me a rough idea of at least 3-4 months before I'd hear anymore. Spoke to my consultants secretary once who said they would get my notes and speak to my consultant to see if anything could be done to speed things up as I'm in constant pain which is now affecting my home life and making it a struggle to look after my toddler. Secretary hasn't got back to me, I keep calling and leaving voicemail but no response! Get the feeling the date for the op will never come!

I thought the hospital were supposed to contact you with options or at least a reason why when they haven't met the maximum wait time of 18 weeks?!
