About: Chase Farm Hospital

Having been to have a blood test at the all bells and whistles and shiny hospital. First time since the renovation.

My experience was very much satisfactory upon arrival and the mechanics of getting to the waiting room was smooth as anybody could want.

They have a lovely shiny electronic board which your names come and its clear which room to go to and when you're time is ready.

However the problems arose when it was time to take my blood.

The mechanics of taking my blood seemed not to go well. The nurse tried twice to catch a vein. Something that the folks at Chase Farm never seemed to have a problem with.

They then said that after two goes to go in through the hands.

This seemed to be an alien process and I had never heard of getting it that way. Not saying that you can't but having had two goes on my arm, I wasn't going to let them have a go at my hand.

I stopped the procedure because they clearly weren't in control of the situation.

I was scared. shocked and a little on edge.

I left a little annoyed and I thought, how could this go so wrong?

Just goes to show you that all the money in the world on a renovation doesn't deliver the know how on how to take blood from patents.
