About: Southend Hospital

Firstly I must say the care given by the staff and consultant is excellent. However the waiting times are crazy. On average we have wait around two to three hours so our daughter can see the consultant. Trying to do this with a two year old is very stressful. When we do see the consultant she is so stressed that they are unable to examine her correctly. Why is it impossible to kept to an appointment time or is it just an arbitrary time. Is the unit under staffed? Once again I must say that the care given is brilliant but the waiting times are crazy.
