The Sister who saw me made a not particularly pleasant procedure (on two occasions) as comfortable as it could be.

Their cheerful, friendly, and respectful manner was much appreciated, not to mention their professionalism.

I was referred for day surgery and, there too, I was met with consideration and treated with dignity.

We can't change the reason for being there, but these people make a difference to the whole experience.
