"breat care unit St Jamses Hospital"

About: Leeds General Infirmary

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Feb 2014

My journey through the service at St James was rough. Poor care. No discussion till pushed, cancelled or late appointments, locum medical staff who left me feeling they did not give a damn about me. Annual mamagram check at 14 months, then I had to ring for results as not sent. Recieved letter with results finally in June 3 month from check.

What happened to the Anne Keating Breast Cancer Unit and all the funding which was spent on this specialist unt, the unit seems to have ust disappeared. The unit at St James is cold and impersonal, not what you want when told you have breast cancer.

I had previous experience of the Breast Care Unit at the Clarendon Wing and remember it as a catering, compassionat professional unit that put the patient first. What happened to these units?
