"disappointed"

I came in with my partner who was due for a general anaesthetic, we we're told to arrive for 7.30 in the morning for his op-he did not go down until approx 11.50am-not really acceptable as he had had nothing to eat since 6pm the previous evening. Not only were we tired-having left the house at 6am from coventry on public transport but we were both hungry and thirsty, yes I could have left him to seek a drink for myself but I felt I needed to stay with him as he was quite nervous, I was not at any time offered a drink but a relative that had been there for approx 45mins was offered a cup of tea! I decided to go to the cafe-but really wish I hadn't-the food was tasteless-the chips were so hard, the custard full of powdery limbs and the cutlery was absolutely filthy. I was really disappointed.
